Essential Massage is a local business that focuses on helping people through massage, treating it as important health maintenance. When done properly, it can help you heal faster and enable you to get out there and enjoy all life has to offer.

This was Essential Massage’s first website, so it was important for us to get them set up on a good foundation! Most notably, not only with a new custom website build, but also getting them live with a Google Business Profile and assisting in collecting and posting customer reviews.

The Strategy:

Since this was Essential Massages’s first website, we did everything from the ground up, designing their logo, typography, color palette, images, and branding!

A big focus on the new website was being able to digitally sell gift cards and make it easy for customers to contact her via phone or contact form!

When it came to the actual design and layout of the website, they were looking for something that was clean and simple while also avoiding some of the clichés so often found on other massage websites.

We should also add that this website launched in 2019 and has been hosted and maintained by us since! Over the years, we have closed out lots of support requests, completed large-scale PHP updates, and upgraded the internal infrastructure to hit better scores!

Task Highlight:

The X Factor task that we would like to highlight with this build was creating a Google Business Profile for them! As you probably know, if you are a brick-and-mortar business that serves locals in person, having a Google Business Profile is critical for not only SEO, but also Local SEO, and ease of use for new customers to drive to your location!

The process is a little bit slow, as we had to wait a few weeks for Google to send out physical confirmation codes to the address to ensure security and authenticity, but we got it done.

On top of setting up the account, we assisted in filling in all of the profile information, uploading images, and collecting customer reviews, which we then also featured on the website to help grow social proofing and potential customer trust!

We did a round of SEO optimization, which has landed them with a 92% SEO score via Google Pagespeed Insights.
We created a Google Business Profile, which now has 14 five-star reviews from customers and is viewed 1000s of times a month via Google Search.
We also connected the website to their gift card sales platform to enable 100% automated sales growth. Especially useful for customers who are purchasing their services as a gift for their loved ones.
We have loved working with them over the years, completing dozens of support tickets, performing large PHP upgrades, rebuilding large portions of the website for performance gains, and as time has gone on, we purchased a better server and performed the migration/upgrade at no cost to them.

We scanned the website with Google Pagespeed Insights and received the scores of 100% Performance, 91% Accessability, 100% Best Practices, and 92% SEO. – View Report
Indexed the website with Google and built their Google Business Profile, which all receive 1000s of views per month.
